ABOUT HIGH-POWER APPLIANCES OVER 2000W – Many hair dryers and irons fall into this category. Even if they support dual voltage, it is still NOT recommended to use them in a country with different voltage because there are potential dangers in such a practice (the built-in 10A fuse is likely to pop to prevent further damage).
IMPORTANT NOTES – Many manufacturers like Dyson do NOT make dual voltage high-power devices (for a reason), and there are NO portable voltage converters that can handle such high-power safely over an extended time. For electric toothbrush, shaver/trimmer, water flosser, garment steamer, hair straightener, it is extremely important to check the specs before your trip.
